Project for Creating a 3D Model and Drawings of a Silicone Mold for Chocolate Casting

Our team proudly completed an interesting project involving the creation of a 3D model and drawings for manufacturing a silicone mold designed for chocolate casting. This project showcases our capabilities in 3D scanning, reverse engineering, and the development of high-precision digital models.

Client’s Task

The client approached us with the task of developing a silicone mold based on a plaster model of a candy. This model was a physical copy but required digital reproduction for subsequent mold manufacturing.

3D Scanning Process

To address this task, we used our Range Vision 2M 3D scanner, which allows us to capture highly accurate 3D models, even with the finest details. We began by conducting meticulous 3D scanning of the plaster candy model, focusing on preserving all the subtle nuances and textures important to the client. The resulting 3D model in STL format was highly accurate and replicated all the features of the original shape.

Reverse Engineering and Digital Prototype Creation

Based on the STL model, we created a digital prototype for manufacturing the silicone mold. Reverse engineering was critically important at this stage. This process enabled us not only to reproduce the exact dimensions and shape but also to optimize the model for subsequent chocolate casting. As a result, the client received a mold design that perfectly suited the production of high-quality chocolate products.

Collaboration with the Client

Every stage of the project involved close collaboration with the client, allowing us to meet all their requirements and wishes. Additionally, we provided detailed drawings, which helped our manufacturing partners implement the project with high precision.
