Inspection of a historic building

Survey of the historical building on Sofiivska Street in Kyiv is one of our most important and complex projects.

This project required us to use advanced technologies and a high level of professionalism. We restored the plans of the premises and facades, and also conducted a detailed survey of the foundation and load-bearing walls of the building. Restoration of architectural monuments is the most complex type of work, as they have historical value and require special attention to detail. Each stage of the work was carefully planned and carried out taking into account all the features of the building.

Based on the results of the survey, a decision was made on the necessary work to strengthen the building’s structure, including:

• Strengthening the foundations to ensure the stability and durability of the building. This includes additional reinforcement of existing foundations and the construction of new support elements.
• Construction of a monolithic foundation slab for additional support. This slab will ensure an even distribution of the load and increase the stability of the building.
• Strengthening the brickwork of walls, columns, and partitions to ensure their strength. We used special materials and technologies to reinforce the brickwork, which allowed us to preserve the authentic appearance of the building.
• Strengthening beam structures, which are an important element of the building’s load-bearing system. This includes reinforcing existing beams and installing additional supporting elements.
• Replacing floors to ensure the safety and reliability of the building. The new floors were made of modern materials that meet all safety and quality standards.

We carried out laser scanning of the interior premises, facades, and the surrounding area. Laser scanning allowed us to create an accurate 3D model of the building, which is an extremely useful tool for planning restoration work. This model includes all the details of the building, allowing us to accurately determine the volumes and types of necessary work. Measurement drawings, foundation surveys, and load-bearing structures helped us to understand the condition of the building in detail and determine the necessary measures for its preservation.
