For the restoration project of an architectural monument in Kiev, the following pre-design work was carried out:

laser scanning of the building, including facades, interiors, basement;
made a 3d model in Archikad;
dimension drawings.

Scanning was performed with Faro laser scanners (for facades in color, interior scans in black and white).

Work on the site took two days, and the production of the 3D model and drawings took another 3 weeks.

The main task of 3D laser scanning and measurement work is to establish the actual i.e. the actual dimensions of buildings, structures and premises for various purposes.

3d modeling is the production of a digital model of an object in three dimensions. A 3D picture gives a complete picture of the object, its shape, size, details, defects and features.

Measurement work, based on laser scanning, allows you to obtain the exact dimensions and shape of the object (heights, irregularities, slopes, angles, information about decor). It is an indispensable tool for designers and architects who use this data to create layouts, projects and interior design.

It is especially worth noting the importance of measurement work in the restoration of buildings and architectural monuments, where accuracy and preservation of historical details play an important role.
