3D scanning of a sports complex

The sports complex has not been operating for many years. And once it was the home arena of the Sokol hockey team. Teams of all ages, starting with the youngest, held training and tournaments here.

The hockey team “Sokol” Kyiv played in the championship of the Soviet Union. And now many people dream of hockey returning to the Avangard sports complex and reviving the team.

The architectural documentation of the sports complex has been lost. We were given the task of restoring it.

We did a 3D scan of the “AVANGARD” sports complex in Kiev.

We carried out laser scanning of all premises of the sports complex, including the basement and roof.

We created a 3D model, detailing the LOD 300 model, for further design of the reconstruction of the building.

The work is quite complex, there are a lot of rooms, and the basement has poor lighting and clutter. The Client’s architects do not work with a point cloud, so they made a 3D model of the entire complex, models of each floor, roof and basement. The basement model contains all communications. Divided drawings were completed in DWG format.

Large volume is not a problem for our team of architects and engineers. We hope to go skating soon and support our hockey team.
